These terms apply to all bookings made with MCR EXEC by phone, email, website or other approved booking channels. By placing a booking, the client confirms acceptance of these terms, subject always to any rights the client may have under applicable law.
Key Booking Summary
1. General Provisions
- All bookings and transactions between the client and MCR EXEC are governed by these Terms & Conditions. By booking any chauffeur service through our website, by telephone, by email or through any approved booking channel, the client confirms acceptance of these terms.
- By placing a booking, the client confirms that they are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
- The client is responsible for ensuring that all booking details supplied to MCR EXEC are complete, accurate and final at the point of confirmation, including but not limited to collection time, collection address, destination, final drop-off location, passenger count, luggage requirements, vehicle preference and any material service requirement.
- If the client is uncertain about any aspect of the booking, service limitations, pricing structure, luggage suitability, waiting time, routing, cancellations, amendments or any other operational matter, it is the client’s responsibility to raise those questions with MCR EXEC before confirming the booking.
- MCR EXEC reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time by updating this page. The latest published version will apply to future bookings.
2. Responsibilities & Liabilities
- MCR EXEC will use reasonable skill and care in the performance of its services. However, MCR EXEC shall not be liable for delays, missed flights, trains, cruise departures, events, hotel check-ins or any onward connection caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including traffic conditions, adverse weather, road traffic accidents, vehicle restrictions, airport congestion, security incidents, police activity, diversions or road closures.
- Clients are responsible for allowing sufficient time for their journey, particularly where flights, check-in times, security screening, event start times or onward travel arrangements are involved.
- MCR EXEC is not responsible for loss arising from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the client or booker, including inaccurate booking times, incorrect addresses, failure to disclose luggage requirements, undeclared stops or failure to provide the final destination where relevant to pricing and routing.
- Clients are strongly advised to obtain suitable travel insurance where appropriate.
3. Booking & Cancellation Policy
- Clients are encouraged to book chauffeur services at least 24 hours in advance. Last-minute bookings are accepted strictly subject to vehicle and chauffeur availability.
- All pick-up dates and times must be provided in UK local time unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- If a client cannot locate their chauffeur, they must contact MCR EXEC or the chauffeur directly using the details provided with the booking before making alternative travel arrangements.
- Refunds will not be issued where the chauffeur has attended in line with the booking and the client fails to wait at the agreed collection point or chooses alternative transport without first contacting MCR EXEC, unless otherwise required by law.
- In the event of a significant delay, whether flight-related or otherwise, the client must notify MCR EXEC as soon as possible. MCR EXEC will make reasonable efforts to accommodate delays, but this cannot be guaranteed. Where contact is not maintained, where the delay materially affects operations, or where the service can no longer reasonably be fulfilled, the booking may be treated as a passenger no-show or as a materially altered booking and additional charges may apply.
- Event bookings, hourly hire, multi-vehicle bookings, specialist services and bespoke quotations may be subject to separate written terms, payment conditions, minimum hire rules and cancellation terms.
4. Hourly Services & Limitations
- Hourly chauffeur hire is subject to a minimum booking duration. Unless otherwise confirmed in writing, the standard minimum booking duration is 3 hours.
- For selected events, concerts, sporting fixtures, high-demand dates, private aviation movements or bespoke bookings, a different minimum hire structure may apply and will be stated at quotation stage.
- Hourly bookings include a mileage allowance of 20 miles per booked hour.
- Mileage beyond the included allowance is charged according to vehicle type and operational requirements, typically ranging from £2.50 to £4.00 per mile.
- Hourly services are intended for retained use within the same general operating or business district, with the vehicle remaining available to the client during the booked period. Limited travel in and out of that area may be possible, but the service should ordinarily conclude within the same general district unless otherwise quoted in writing.
- Where the client intends to use the vehicle for an intercity transfer, long-distance one-way movement, or a journey ending materially outside the operating district, hourly hire may not be the appropriate pricing structure and may result in materially higher charges than a direct transfer quotation.
- It is the responsibility of the client to provide the intended final drop-off location before booking confirmation. If the final destination is omitted, changed later, or materially differs from the original service scope, MCR EXEC reserves the right to recalculate the fare and apply any additional operational, mileage or vehicle return charges required.
- Any request to extend an hourly booking is subject to chauffeur and vehicle availability. Additional time will be charged at the applicable hourly rate in force for the vehicle booked.
5. Hourly Services – Vehicle Return Charges
- Where a transfer or hourly booking ends outside the chauffeur’s operational base area or outside the district reasonably contemplated at the time of quotation, a vehicle return charge may apply.
- This charge is calculated by reference to the distance, time, operational cost and loss of vehicle availability associated with returning the vehicle and chauffeur to base or to the next viable operating area.
- Where applicable, the return charge will be included within the quoted booking price or communicated as part of the final price structure. If the client has failed to provide an accurate final drop-off location before booking confirmation, MCR EXEC reserves the right to apply the appropriate return charge once the true service requirement becomes known.
6. Waiting Time Terms & Conditions
- For airport transfers, the first 60 minutes of waiting time from the confirmed booking time is included, unless otherwise stated in writing. The confirmed booking time is the time selected or approved as part of the reservation and forms the basis of MCR EXEC’s operational obligation.
- Once the complimentary waiting period has expired, waiting time charges may apply at rates typically ranging from £50 to £70 per hour, depending on the vehicle booked, the nature of the service and operational impact.
- For non-airport collections, 15 minutes of complimentary waiting time is included from the confirmed booking time.
- Waiting time beyond the complimentary non-airport allowance is charged at the applicable vehicle-specific waiting rate, typically within the range of £50 to £70 per hour.
- Waiting time is charged in line with operational time lost, vehicle allocation and chauffeur availability.
- Once the complimentary waiting allowance has expired, MCR EXEC and the chauffeur are under no obligation to remain at the collection point indefinitely. Although reasonable efforts may be made to continue the service, this cannot be guaranteed where doing so would prejudice other scheduled work, legal driving time, operational commitments or vehicle movements.
7. Luggage Policy
- Unless otherwise agreed, the standard luggage allowance is one standard suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger. Vehicle luggage capacity varies and clients must select a suitable vehicle for their passenger and luggage requirements.
- Oversized luggage, additional luggage, sporting equipment, child seats, pushchairs, wheelchairs or any unusual load requirement must be declared at the time of booking.
- If the client is unsure whether the selected vehicle is suitable, MCR EXEC’s general recommendation is to book a larger vehicle, such as a Mercedes V-Class MPV, to reduce the risk of insufficient capacity.
- Failure to disclose excess or oversized luggage may result in delays, the need to upgrade to a larger vehicle, additional charges or inability to perform the transfer if no suitable vehicle is available.
- The chauffeur may refuse carriage where the booked vehicle is clearly unsuitable for the passenger and luggage load presented and safe transport cannot be provided.
- In such circumstances, the booking may be treated as a passenger no-show or materially altered booking where the service cannot proceed due to incorrect or incomplete booking information supplied by the client.
8. Additional Charges
- MCR EXEC reserves the right to apply additional charges where the scope of the booked service changes after confirmation.
-
Additional charges may include, but are not limited to:
- extra waiting time
- additional stops requested by the client
- route deviations or itinerary changes after commencement of the journey
- additional mileage beyond the included allowance
- parking, tolls, drop-off fees or similar third-party charges where applicable
- vehicle return charges caused by a materially different end location
- extra cleaning, damage or exceptional valeting costs where reasonably required
9. Pricing Policy
- Pricing is based on the nature of the journey, vehicle type, number of passengers, timing, mileage, waiting time, routing and operational requirements.
- Published website pricing, where shown, is intended as guide pricing or starting pricing and may apply only to selected service areas, journey types or operational windows.
- Transfers outside Manchester, specialist event bookings, long-distance travel, private aviation, multi-vehicle movements and bespoke itineraries may incur additional charges.
- Hourly hire pricing is subject to the relevant minimum booking period and mileage allowance.
- Unless expressly stated otherwise, quoted prices are exclusive of VAT where VAT is applicable.
10. Booking Amendment Policy
- A strict 24-hour policy applies to standard bookings. Amendments or cancellations requested within 24 hours of the scheduled pick-up time may not be accepted and may be charged in full.
- Amendments or cancellations requested outside the 24-hour window are generally accepted without charge, subject to any bespoke quotation terms previously agreed in writing.
- Clients are encouraged to finalise all travel details before the 24-hour window begins. Once that period starts, bookings are treated as operationally committed.
- MCR EXEC reserves the right to treat late amendment requests as a cancellation and rebooking where operational changes materially affect the original service.
11. SMS Messaging Terms
- By providing a mobile number to MCR EXEC during the booking, quotation or service process, the client agrees that MCR EXEC may send SMS messages relating to the requested or booked service. These messages may include booking confirmations, reminders, chauffeur details, vehicle details, arrival notifications, tracking links, operational updates and post-service follow-up messages such as feedback or review requests.
- Message frequency varies depending on booking activity, service updates and the level of communication reasonably required to fulfil the service.
- Message and data rates may apply depending on the recipient’s mobile network and tariff.
- Recipients may reply STOP at any time to opt out of future SMS messages from that messaging programme, or reply HELP for assistance.
- Consent to receive SMS messages applies only to communications from MCR EXEC relating to the relevant service, booking flow or messaging programme for which the recipient has provided their number and consent.
- Promotional or marketing SMS messages will only be sent where the recipient has expressly agreed to receive them. Operational and service-related messages may still be sent where reasonably necessary to administer or perform a requested or booked service, subject to applicable law.
- MCR EXEC does not sell SMS opt-in data or consent records. Mobile numbers and SMS consent information are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
- Clients who book on behalf of passengers are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate authority to provide passenger contact details for service-related communications.
