DAZN’s producers booked directly with MCR EXEC for promotional filming connected with upcoming boxing contests. The two assignments took place on 30 September and 2 October 2026, combining approximately 20 hours of chauffeur support across Cheshire and Birmingham, all delivered as efficient sports transport for production purposes.

From Manchester to a full day filming in Cheshire

The Wednesday assignment began at 7am with a production team collection from Manchester city centre. The team then travelled to Mobberley, where much of the day was spent filming in and around the surrounding area making use of tailored production transport for sports assignments.

Five crew members travelled as part of the Cheshire assignment. The customised V-Class remained allocated to the production throughout the day, with the booking lasting approximately 12 hours including the onward travel required after filming. Notably, the team’s need for sports production transport was prioritised at all stages.

Our full-day chauffeur hire gave the production team a consistent point of return between locations. The chauffeur remained available while filming took place, ready to assist with equipment and the next movement when the team was ready to leave, ensuring that transport for sports production was seamless throughout the assignment.

Local route advice for a moving filming sequence

The production had already scouted its filming locations. MCR EXEC’s contribution concerned the routes and stopping points that could support the planned sequence. Importantly, every decision incorporated the distinctive logistical needs of sports production transport to keep the shoot moving efficiently.

Our chauffeur helped identify scenic roads with lighter traffic around Mobberley. That combination was useful for a sequence involving slow vehicle movements: the surroundings needed to suit the planned shots, while the route needed to be practical for the vehicles involved. Of course, sports production transport must adapt to these tailored requirements.

A director travelled in the MCR EXEC V-Class, while the featured boxer travelled in a separate production vehicle. The chauffeur worked in tandem with that vehicle, following the production team’s directions during the moving sequence. By working together, both vehicles created an effective sports-focused production transport solution.

Advice on suitable stopping points also helped the team move between travel and filming. These were practical contributions to an existing production plan, drawn from familiarity with the local roads and the requirements explained by the crew; this level of support truly distinguishes sports production transport from standard vehicle services.

Birmingham: production support into the night

The Friday assignment began and ended in Birmingham. Starting at 4pm and continuing until midnight, it involved six production team members and another day of retained customised V-Class hire, providing transport designed for the evolving needs of sports production crews.

Filming took place at several urban locations, including the area around the arena district. The transport requirement was to stay with the production as it moved through the evening’s locations and filming sessions, perfectly suiting the mobile approach of sports production transport professionals.

This was a different working environment from the Cheshire assignment. Countryside routes and a morning start gave way to city streets, evening activity and filming after dark. The same booking principle applied: the chauffeur and vehicle remained available around the shoot, supporting the realities of sports production transport in a city setting.

Equipment assistance between filming sessions

Production transport also involves what travels with the passengers. Across the assignment, chauffeur support included helping load and unload equipment as the team moved between locations, which is a routine demand of all sports production transport projects.

I booked MCR Exec to pick us up from home, stop off en-route to collect my mother (and my rather voluminous wedding dress!) and take us to a hotel the night before our wedding.

Getting a quote and booking was really efficient - I requested a large vehicle and was assigned a Mercedes V Class, which was perfect and roomy for us.

Most importantly, I wanted a reliable pick-up, with a clean car and guaranteed air-con. We experienced all three, and our driver Billy was so helpful in making sure out dress bags were kept crease-free! He drove carefully and gave us bottles of chilled water, which made the hour journey very comfortable.

I was really pleased to receive such good service and while it was more expensive than pre-booking a cab via an app, we arrived earlier than our ETA and the whole experience gave me peace of mind.
